Chapel of Love
Agnes in memory of Art constructed the “Chapel of Love” in 1990 with labor provided by her son-in law, Don Nelson, her grandson, Dave Nelson and Board member Gene Benson. The dedication ceremony was held in July 1991. Agnes paid for the material for the Chapel out of her personal funds.
The Chapel is a scale replica of the First Lutheran Church of Cushing located on the hill at the north end of town which was the family Church before it burned in 1945.
This structure is truly a work of art. It has 4 pews and seats 12 people and is a wonderful place to meet and talk to the Lord in the peace and quietness of this beautiful environment.
Numerous weddings have taken place in the Chapel with receptions following in the fellowship hall. Christians are invited to inquire about scheduling their own wedding.
