Hello folks.  Our band is at its's core just a group of musical friends who feel very fortunate to be able to play the music we love.  We like our rehearsals as much as our live performances and look forward to any time we can spend together playing the tunes that speak to our musical souls.

The current group membership labeled as "The MMB Band", is the latest version of the official "The Mystery Mountain Boys" band formed over 12 years ago.  Prior to this time, three of the current band members played together for 8 years under the name "High Ground", which focused more on Bluegrass and Gospel music.  We decided on the band name modification because of the addition of Felicia Wallin to the lineup three years ago, (obviously not a "boy"), and in recognition of her very important musical contributions to our sound and song selections.

The MMB band members are:
  • Jeff Green:  Lead guitars and lead vocals
  • Felicia Wallin:  Acoustic guitars, and lead vocals
  • Randy Gerdin:  Bass guitar and vocals
  • Steve Lindstedt:  Rhythm guitars and vocals
  • Mike Wallin:  Percussion, guitar, and banjo

Thanks for the opportunity to play music for you folks, and we hope you enjoy the experience as much as we do!

We started singing and playing together in 1992 as a trio made up of an uncle and two brothers. We've recorded nine albums together and performed at many churches, retreat centers, festivals, and other events throughout the upper midwest. Our beloved Uncle Jerry passed away last May, but we've decided to continue singing together without him because we know that's what he would want. He's written and arranged many great songs that we would like to continue to share with people.

Lorn & Royce Band

Bluegrass/Gospel musicians, Lorn Schultz and Royce Sorensen have come full circle after starting together in the ’ 80s as founding members of the King’s Trio.
Lorn went on to form the King’s Countrymen which included bus tours to Nashville, Branson, plus numerous recordings over the band’s 26 year run. Lorn and his wife Kristi, hosted a very successful and dearly loved Bluegrass Gospel Festival every summer for 18 years on their Mondovi Farm.
In addition to 23 years with the Kings Trio, Royce uses his multi-instrumentalist skills as a sideman in numerous Wisconsin bluegrass bands. He also has a recording business at his Eau Claire home studio.
The two "old friends" continue to share their love of Bluegrass/Gospel music and giving testimony to the work of Christ in their lives. Kristi often handles the sound system duties. On occasion they invite guest musicians to join them.

Higher Vision

Since 2013, Higher Vision has been entertaining audiences, bringing smiles to faces, and tugging at heartstrings with their music. While the majority of their performances are in area churches, Higher Vision has also provided music for the summer concert series in local communities, the Hungry Hollow Gas & Steam Engine Show, and the Barron County Fairtime Chapel.  In addition to their signature gospel, when performing in a secular venue the group adds doo-wop, Beach Boys tunes, Bob Dylan ballads, and crowd pleasers such as “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” to their repertoire.

All of the members of Higher Vision are from the local area and all have been part of musical endeavors in their churches and communities for many years. The quartet is comprised of Mike Jenkinson singing lead, tenor Albin Peterson, baritone Dick Sampson, and bass John Westin. The group’s accompanist is Elaine Molls.
