Welcome to Skonewood's Fall Cleanup and Woodcutting Event

Thank you for your interest in helping us with our annual fall cleanup and woodcutting event on October 11, 2025.  We want this weekend to be a celebration for all God has done this past year and a time to prepare for the year ahead!  Below you will find an itinerary (subject to change) and the To Do List.  If you are able to join us, please scroll down and find out how to claim your camp site (FREE of charge); if you are unable to join us please consider donating to help cover project costs.  We are excited to have you join us,  either in person or in spirit!

Weekend's Itinerary

Friday

• 3-6PM Check-In
• Supper is on your own
• 7PM Movie in the Fellowship Hall (Popcorn provided)

Saturday

• 8AM Devotional with Cordell in Fellowship Hall
• Breakfast on your own
• 9AM Work Starts
• Kids Activities throughout day
• 2PM Pot Luck (Skonewood providing Sloppy Joes) - Noah's Shelter
• Afternoon Fellowship
• Supper is on your own
• 8PM S'mores at Campfire pit - Fellowship Hall

Sunday

• 9AM Devotional/Message with Cordell - Fellowship Hall
• 11AM Check-Out

*Please note that we do have a group that reserved the Fellowship Hall Saturday afternoon/evening.  Please be respectful of their event.

Fall Cleanup and Woodcutting

Our To Do List

• Split and stack firewood
• Pick up sticks and clear leaves
• Weed wacking behind/around Fellowship Hall and Chapel
• Brush cutting from Haven of Rest to The Refuge by the lake
• Painting Projects
• Thorough cleaning of the bathhouse
• Winterizing the cabins (possibly)
• Other projects as they come up

Below is a list of supplies/equipment that would be useful for volunteers to bring if you're willing and able:

• Leaf/Yard Blowers
• Weed Wackers 
• Rakes
• Wheelbarrows/Utility Wagons
• Personal hearing protection, safety glasses, and gloves
